ABOUT THE TOUR ORGANIZERS:
Atlantic Avenue Art Walk 2004 was founded and produced pro bono by COlab Projects Group.

Lisa Shimamura founded COlab in 2003 and brings fine art and artist management, agency, publishing, and production experience. COlab represents artists who create fine and commercial art alike. COlab supports its artists and clients, producing exhibitions by new and established creators with an emphasis on collaboration. Projects include benefits, gallery shows, and special events. In addition, we create and deploy seamlessly managed projects and campaigns with highly talented artists and creative resources across media. We strive to work with progressive companies who demonstrate their involvement in culture, social responsibility, and the desire to bring new experiences to their audiences. Clients include Knitting Factory, MainStage Productions, Mountain Dew, and CScout Germany.

In 2001, Shimamura co-founded MAMA, a New York-based commercial artist representation agency providing artist representation, production, and consulting services for clients such as Duffs, HBO, H&M, Island Def Jam, Victoria's Secret, and W+K Tokyo. Prior to that, Shimamura was Vice President, Production and Creative Development for Razorfish Studios, producing digital exhibitions now included in the SF MoMA's permanent collection. She built a fine arts and photography catalogue for the company, including Ryan McGinness' flatnessisgod. Prior to her work at Razorfish Studios, Shimamura was part of the original team at digital communications firm, Razorfish, Inc., producing events, project launches, and interactive campaigns with clients such as Ralph Lauren, Pepsi, and IBM.

Prior to that, Shimamura was with The Monacelli Press, working on projects such as Rem Koolhaas' S, M, L, XL. Before moving to New York, her experience included arts management and development in Washington, DC for the Phillips Collection, the first museum of modern art in America and Washington Project for the Arts (now WPA\Corcoran, part of Corcoran Gallery of Art), DC's leading center for contemporary art and emerging artists; a non-profit 501 c(3), raising funds for their annual operating budgets and securing grants for individual exhibitions.
