KNOW | KAISER FAMILY FOUNDATION

Colab represented four talented artists who worked with director David Ellis on a quartet of televised public service announcements sponsored by the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning public education initiative KNOW HIV/AIDS, sponsored by Viacom Inc. and the Kaiser Family Foundation. The artwork concept and use of motion in the broadcast spots were all created to evoke the critical campaign message that knowledge can spread faster than the disease

The artists used an historic city block in Philadelphia as a temporary urban canvas to create powerful artistic images which were then employed as the essence of the broadcast campaign and online marketing effort produced by Crispin Porter + Bogusky.

To further the message and work to remove the stigmas Kaiser Family Foundation had identified in various communities with testing, artist Kenji Hirata was tapped to provide artwork for a rich, interactive site designed to easily find a local HIV Testing Center in their own neighborhoods.
